About the SFCPSC
Established in 2016
The San Francisco Collaborative Partnering Steering Committee (SFCPSC) was formed in June 2016 by the six departments delivering public works construction projects and members of industry who deliver projects within the City and County of San Francisco. Volunteers from the Port of San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, San Francisco Public Works, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and San Francisco Recreation & Parks (The City), as well as leaders from nine key Industry Associations (Industry) have joined the SFCPSC with the intention of improving construction culture on projects Citywide.

Steering Committee Objective
The objective of the Committee is to help the six City and County of San Francisco departments delivering construction become recognized as an "Owner of Choice" by the construction industry. The Committee does this by identifying barriers to partnering in the construction of buildings, municipal structures, and heavy civil projects and develops recommendations to overcome them through the partnering program.
In 2018, the SFCPSC launched the annual Collaborative Partnering Awards Program to recognize project teams demonstrating excellence in collaboration and the application of partnering best practices. To date, 39 projects have been recognized and they have identified more than $138 million in savings to City capital projects through enhanced collaboration. |
